Start here
Six ways in, depending on whether you want a new mattress, a topper or pillow to fix the bed you have, or just to understand what “non-toxic” really means.
Mattresses for Back & Joint Pain
The core of a sleep system for a bad back — memory foam and hybrids compared on firmness, support and the certifications each one actually carries.
Mattress Toppers for Back Pain
When a new mattress isn't the move yet: toppers that add support or pressure relief to the bed you already own.
Pillows for Neck, Shoulder & Back Pain
The last piece of the alignment puzzle — cervical and adjustable pillows that keep your neck neutral so your back can rest.
Adjustable Bases & Frames
Raising the head or knees takes load off the lower back. Adjustable bases that pair with a bed-in-a-box, compared on the essentials.
Non-Toxic & Certified Sleep
The differentiator: what each sleep certification actually audits, which beds are genuinely fiberglass-free, and how to verify a claim yourself.
Sleep & Pain Guides
The questions that come before the purchase — firmness, memory foam versus hybrid, and what actually helps a bad back at night.
Why trust a site that hasn’t slept on any of these?
Because we don’t pretend otherwise. Every ranking sleep site leads with a test lab; we don’t have one, and we won’t fake it. Here is what we do instead — and it’s checkable.
We read the certification, not the label
For every pick we record the certifications the maker states, then explain exactly what each one audits — and what it leaves out. A CertiPUR-US mark covers the foam, not fiberglass.
Prices are live and dated
Numbers come from a daily Amazon check and carry the date they were pulled. If the check stops, the price disappears rather than going stale.
“Not published” is a finding
When a listing won't state its firmness or its fiberglass position, we print “Not published” rather than guessing. What a maker hides is information too.
We say when to skip
A pricier bed isn't automatically better for your back. Where a cheaper certified pick wins for the buyer, that's our pick — commission doesn't decide it.
No fake reviews, ever
There are no invented testimonials, star ratings or sleep-trial anecdotes anywhere on this site. If we can't source it, it isn't here.
One honest author
Written by an enthusiast genuinely into this — not a doctor, and nothing here is medical advice. For persistent pain, see a professional.

How this site is funded
Pillow & Post is free to read because some product links are affiliate links: if you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. It never changes which product we recommend — the reasoning is the same whether a link earns us anything or not.
